Summer Winter is the solo project of Summer Sky Rudas–an Irish Colombian singer songwriter from Maui. Her catalogue mimics the eclectic nature of her upbringing–never quite in the same place or genre, but glued together by ticklish harmonies and ear worm melodies.

Her first record ‘Party of One’ was self-produced in various rooms, lightly sprinkled by the sounds of other instrumentalists to dilute the painfully raw expression of young Summer and her guitar.

Her sophomore record could be considered a joke, but that was intended. Inspired by years of choral work, Winter crafted 10 songs uniquely tailored to poke fun at the American millennial experience with just her voice and the tools she found around her room–a coin purse, a plastic bag, an empty glass bottle. Recorded in studio at Jenga Productions in Atwater Village, ‘A Cappella American Anxiety’ remains intimate with space, paying homage to the dizziness of freedom with doo wop harmonies and humor.

Winter wasn't always singularly focused on music, she spent years in other mediums: theatre, film, creative production, and copywriting. Summer Winter’s projects explore what her name represents–duality, balance, contrast, and change. Or sometimes they don’t, like when she plays front woman for the cheeky . With her third record ‘The Speechless Place’ set to arrive summer of 2025, expect delightful surprises, textures, and soothing composition.

Time and art are precious. Each Summer Winter song is priced at "a penny per second".
